Create attractive email campaigns

We've written a short guide to creating email campaigns that aren't just "beautiful faces" because we've all gotten really good email marketing campaigns at one point - you may not be able to think of one, but you'll find out the moment you see it! Below we list the most important steps in creating a good email campaign.

  1. Make sure the email you send has a purpose! Is this an order reminder? A newsletter to help build your brand and keep in touch with your audience? Redirect emails to get people back and get them through the payment process? Whatever you send, make sure you do it for a specific reason, not just because you feel like it or someone told you to. Of course, like almost any marketing channel, email marketing is a balancing act between form and function and is easy to distort in one way or another - although this is a guide to how things look good, please remember the really important part is your targeting, your content, and your overall message. Without them, your email campaigns will become just as flat, with just a flashy exterior that you've wasted your time on!
  1. Common sense - make sure you don't have spelling mistakes, blanks or weird-looking items. Most email creation platforms will take care of most of this for you, but some may have problems, so if something looks a little weird, check it out and fix it. If your emails are encrypted, it may take a little more effort to fix them, but it's worth it in the long run! Another obvious fact - know your brand! Understand the visual identity when sending on behalf of another organization, including colors, shapes, language, style, and overall feel, to create email campaigns that are perfectly aligned with all your other marketing efforts.

  2. CTA (Call to Action) buttons are an essential part of almost any email, unless you're really trying to sell (which happens from time to time). Your CTA buttons need to be clear and thoughtful, with text that is interesting, compelling and relevant. “Buy Now” often does a good job, so don't worry about being too clichéd with your CTAs - after all, everyone uses them for a reason!

  3. An important part is the optimization of emails for mobile phones. More and more people are looking at their emails on the phone, so if you don't at least make a cursory check to see if your campaigns look good on mobile devices, it means you're making a mistake. There are many tools that can help you view your emails on mobile devices and most platforms already have built-in software, so it's not hard to do!

  4. Images and animations. Choosing great images that catch the eye and really "speak" is extremely important for creating great looking email campaigns, but there are a few things to keep in mind: large images can affect email delivery - large file sizes block inboxes and can be easily stopped by email providers. Loading large images takes more time - everything is fine with the beautiful layout of the image until someone opens it through their mobile data. If your images are too big, then all your beautiful work is completely wasted. Animations in GIFs can be a fantastic tool for storytelling, but it's important to note that they're even more susceptible to the problems that large images have. All you have to do is compress your GIFs and images and don't overload your campaigns with visual images!
